Light at the end of the tunnel

REALLY.......I haven't been on here since September. I know I have been busy but I hadn't realized that was my last post! Well after the first of the year I promise to make it up to all my followers. I have had so many awesome sessions and would have loved to share some of the pictures but I knew I had to cut out some of the extra tasks or else I would never get caught up.
I am finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel!

Seriously is Christmas really next week! I finally finished decorating but I still have lots of shopping to do. Ha, Ha...Nothing like waiting till the last minute.

Many of you have been wondering how my new studio is coming along. I just have one word for that...SLOW! Lol We have heat, the furnace was turned on last month. The new french doors are installed. I can't wait to be able to photograph with natural light. I am super excited! Of course there is still tons to do most of which had to be put on hold over my busy season. Hopefully we will be able to kick it into high gear after Christmas. When the doors open for business I will be having a huge open house offering lots of specials and free sessions so stay tuned for details.

Wow, can you tell I haven't been on here for a while. Didn't mean to write a book! Lol
Well I better get back to work but before I do I will leave you with a couple adorable little girls that I was lucky enough to be able to photograph. What a fun session. I could photograph them all day. Hopefully their mommy will let me photograph them again. I could always use some cute little models to photograph for my urban kids promotions. hint...hint ;)

Does it get any cuter then this?

Ok...even I am jealous of this picture. I wish I was a photographer when my kids where little.
All my poor kids have are the ugly K-mart and Olan Mills photos. Yep, everything from the fake library to the fake tree scene. Teehee...pretty funny!

A big Thank-you to all my JJ Day visitors!

Wow, what a huge success. I want to thank everyone that came out to visit me at my Jesse James Booth on Friday and Saturday. It was a wonderfully crazy busy week-end! We took pictures for 50 different families between the two days. I want to give a big Thank-you to my family for all of their help setting up and trying to keep everything running smoothly. I would not have been able to do it without all of your help.

I know there were a few families that would have loved to bring there children in but were unable to do so last week-end. I would love to extend an invitation to come out to my studio for a mini session with one of the JJ theme portrait sessions. If you are interested please give me a call. I am hoping to offer them all the same day if possible so I do not have to set up the props more then once. Let me know what days of the week and times work best for you. And of course I would still honor the special Jesse James pricing.

Now it's time to get back to work. I need to spend hours on my computer trying to get through all of my seniors, weddings, children, band and Jesse James portraits (in between my scheduled sessions of course)! So if you don't hear anything from me for awhile that is why.

If there is anyone out there that is skilled at Photoshop and would like to get a few hours in part-time, I would be interested in setting up a meeting with you. I really need to get caught up and have come to the conclusion that I might have to hire some extra help to get there.
My studio number is 612-756-4685.

The Malecha Family

This is my week to play catch-up and try get through my pile of customers that have been so patiently waiting to view their images. I am currently working on the Malecha Family portraits. What a cute family. Zachary & Morgan were absolutely adorable. I guess when you have good looking parents like this what else would you expect. Had to share a few of my favorites so far.

Asia's Two Year Portraits

Wow, I can't believe little Asia is two already. Asia's mommy signed her up for the "Elite Baby's First Year Series" so I had the pleasure of seeing Asia several times during her first year. We recently finished her coffee table book with images from all of these sessions. It turned out absolutely beautiful!

Now here is little Asia at her two year portraits session. Wow, crazy how much they can change in that one year. She has quite the personality. The first picture has to be my all time favorite from the session. Anyone that has been out to my studio knows I always have music going. It was so cute, Asia was dancing around the studio. This little girl has some moves! I was laughing so hard I could hardly hold my camera still.

Asia's mommy was so nice to let me have this little dress after her session. What a nice addition to my studio clothing line. If you have a session coming up and would rather not have to go out and buy a new outfit just for pictures, I carry a large selection of clothing in many sizes and styles.

Taelor's Sneak Peek

I am working on Taelor's pictures tonight and thought I would share a few of my favorites so far.

Doesn't she have the cutest dimples!

I really like this one. So pretty!

2010 seniors continued

Here are a couple more sneak peeks.

I got a little carried away with Chelsea's pictures. She had so many beautiful photos in the flower fields. My husband's cousin owns "Prairie Meadows Native Seed Company" and has the most amazing fields full of flowers. We just happened to time it just right for Chelsea's pictures. If anyone wants native seeds you must check out his website. http://prairiemeadowsnativeseed.com/

It helps that the model is just as beautiful as the flowers!

As you can see by this picture, a big storm just missed us.
It was pouring in Northfield on our way out to the studio!

Here is beautiful Stephanie.

As I said earlier, the wheat fields are at their prime right now.

Couldn't decide which one I liked better so I just put them both online.

My black-eyed susans are in full bloom. They may not be as amazing as Duane's fields,
but they are still very pretty!
