Woo hoo! I am finally caught up on editing all sessions. I don't think I have been able to say that since last June! ha ha To celebrate I have decided to offer a fun contest.

Cutest Kids Contest

Cherished Moments Photography is hosting a Cutest Kids contest beginning January 19th. The winner will receive a free photo session as well as some free portraits.

Here are all the juicy details.

*One Entry per child

*You must be the parent or legal guardian of the child you enter.

*Child must be 16 years of age or younger.

*You must have permission/rights to use the photo you enter. (Due to copyright laws I will not accept photos from other photographers)

*Photo's must have been taken within the last 6 months.

*Photos will be accepted from 12:01 am, January 19, 2012 until 11:59 pm, January 28, 2012 via email.

*Only photos emailed to dvosejpka@means.net during the previously mentioned time and with the subject line "Cutest Kids Contest Entry" will be accepted.

*Include your child's name and age in the e-mail (child's first name and age will be posted for viewing), as well as your name, address, phone number and email.

*Contest is open to everyone, however you will need to be willing to travel to the studio within 30 days of winning for your child's free portrait session.

How photos will be judged

*All entries will be uploaded into an album called "Cutest Kids Contest" on my facebook business page by Wednesday, February 1, 2012.

*To vote for a photo you must be a fan ( or under the new facebook system "like") my business facebook page first. This is important otherwise your vote will not count!

I have been terrible with the blog post lately. I promise to get better. I tend to keep up with my facebook business page but then I forget to post on my blog.

I have some exciting changes coming in the near future. I am completely re-doing my price guide. I plan to offer new packages that will include digital files and some other really cool products!

I am also putting together a lot of totally awesome specials and contests.

Here is one of my favorite Baby's First Year clients. Little Ben is one of the cutest little boys I have ever seen. I wish I could take his pictures more often then every 3 months.

An unbelievably warm day considering it was December 31st. The beautiful weather made it nice for getting outside for pictures without worrying about the bride getting too cold. I was even running around outside in my stocking feet trying to get the perfect shot. The bride and groom were beautiful inside and out! I love it when couples get creative with their shoes. Perfection!

This day may not have started out the way Andy and Molly had anticipated. They were hoping for a white wonderland the day they got married. Regardless the ceremony was beautiful. The church was decorated with Christmas trees, wreaths and Poinsettias. The smell of evergreen filled the air from the candles burning inside the church. Every detail was perfect (well except for the lack of snow).

We traveled from Northfield to the Wilds Golf Course in Prior Lake. I must admit I was kind of happy we didn't have to deal with icy roads and snow.

The reception was beautiful. Party hats adorned the table as guests arrived waiting for the party to begin. The happy couple entered the hall going straight for the dance floor. Some couples you can just tell are meant to be together. This is the case for Andy and Molly. Their love for one another was overflowing.

The fun was just beginning. We had a photobooth set up with tons of crazy props. The guests and wedding party were having a blast.

Suddenly we looked outside and the snow was falling. This was not just ordinary snow...no these were the biggest snow flakes that I have ever seen. It's almost like God was granting them their wish for a white wedding.

The snow accumulated so fast! I grabbed Andy and Molly and we headed outside. Because it was snowing so hard and such big flakes it was a bit tricky not to get a big snowflake in front of their face.

We were so honored to be chosen to document their wedding. It was a New Years Eve to remember.

Heaven received another angel

I have been through a tough week. As many of you know, my mother has been battling cancer for the last four years. Last Wednesday I received a call from my dad to get right over there because mom's health took a turn for the worst. On Tuesday she was good, running errands in town and doing her normal day to day stuff. By the time I got there Wesdnesday afternoon she was on oxygen and could hardly talk. She could only drink a couple sips of water and had not eaten all day. She continued to decline everyday. For 5 days we had family and friends by her side. Laughing, crying sharing stories. Even though mom was unresponsive most of the time, we would catch her smiling at some of our stories. On October 24th at 12:31am she lost her battle. I went from pleading with God not to take her to pleading with him to please just take her. It was so hard watching her deteriorate like this.

I would like to thank everyone for your prayers and your understanding. I promise once the funeral is over I will get back on track editing and posting your sessions.

I have one more thing to share. This was taken by another photographer on October 24, 2011 of the Northern lights. I can't help but think it is a sign from my mother. I asked her to give me a sign when she reached heaven. What a beautiful angel she is! Love you forever mama.

I can't believe it is the end of July already. I have been so busy photographing and editing pictures that I haven't had much time to blog lately. I did want to pop on quick to post some images from some recent sessions. This adorable couple came in for a maternity session. I don't think I have ever seen a more beautiful expectant mother. She was truly glowing.

I get such joy in documenting this beautiful time in your life. To encourage pregnant mom's to come in I offer this session absolutely free. I was asked why do I offer it for free. To be honest with you, it gives me a chance to be creative and try new ideas. Not enough expectant mothers want portraits at this time in their life. But these pictures are priceless. You will never be able to go back and get them later.

And yes...I also hope that you will be so in love with your portraits that you will bring your new baby in for newborn portraits. :)

Vintage Lifestyle Portraits

Avery and Jamison came in to model for me for a new set design called Vintage Lifestyle Portraits. I Looovvvee the way they turned out. They were the perfect models. I could seriously photograph them every single day. We had so much fun.

The wheat fields are just perfect right now. If you want wheat field pictures you better make your session for this week. My guess is it will be harvested by the first week of August. I will miss it when it's gone. I love wheat field pictures.

I love everything about this picture! It turned out exactly how I had imagined!

When should I book my outdoor session?

Well that depends...outdoor settings are constantly changing with the time of day and the month you book?

Here are some ideas for different outdoor settings you may want to consider when booking your appointment.

June - We have lots of green! The wild flower field is starting to bloom. We have white daisy's and Lilly's blooming. The tall wild grass looks awesome in portraits.

The best time for outdoor portraits in June.

Flowers and Grasses - Between 4 and 7pm.
The woods - Between 10-5pm.
Sunset Pictures - Between 8 and 9pm.

July - Still have beautiful green grass and trees. Lot's of flowers blooming. Wild flower field is in full bloom!
Last week of July - Wheat field is perfect for pictures. (Harvest time will possibly be the first week in August although there are no guarantees.) The last 2 weeks of July will be incredibly beautiful this year. The field behind the wild flowers is planted in wheat this year so it should be spectacular for pictures!

The best time for outdoor portraits in July.

Flowers and Grasses - Between 4 and 7pm.

The woods - Between 10-4pm.
Sunset Pictures - Between 8 and 9pm.

Mosquito's are a bit of a problem. We do spray and encourage our customers to use repellent.

August - Green grass and trees. Tall grasses. Black Eyed Susan's are blooming.

The best time for outdoor portraits in August.

Flowers and Grasses - Between 4 and 7pm.

The woods - Between 10-4pm.
Creek - Usually by this time the creek is low enough to get in for some fun water pictures. If we get a lot of rain it may be too deep. You will get muddy so I suggest doing these pictures at the end of your session. The best time is around 4 or 5pm.
Sunset Pictures - Between 7:30-8pm.

Mosquito's can be insane! Again we do try and spray but by this time of year I'm not sure anything will get rid of them. Repellent is a must!

September - Still have lots of green. Some trees and shrubs may be starting to change colors by the end of the month. Grasses are starting to change to a nice golden color.

The best time for outdoor portraits in September.

Grasses - Between 4 and 6pm.

The woods - Between 10-4pm.
Sunset Pictures - Between 7 and 7:30pm.

Mosquito's can be insane! Again we do try and spray but by this time of year I'm not sure anything will get rid of them. Repellent is a must!

October - The first two weeks are typically the best for fall color. These times do book up fast so if you are interested you need to book as soon as possible.

The best time for outdoor portraits in October.

Grasses and Fall Foliage - Between 4 and 6pm.
Sunset Pictures - Between 6 and 6:30pm.

And yes, the mosquito's are still bad unless we get a hard frost.
They may not be quite as bad as last month.

These are only suggestions for times. I do book anytime of day but for the best color and lighting I do encourage you to book between these times.

Please note: the prime times do book up quickly so to ensure a spot please book your session as soon as possible!

I love going to the clients home for sessions. The children seem so much more relaxed and it is a nice change of pace for me. I had so many cute portraits from this session I decided to make a video showcasing some of my favorites.

I would do anything to have a cute little playhouse like this in my backyard. What a fun prop to photograph against.

The perfect little red barn. I'm thinking of moving my studio here. ha ha

I just love the pictures with Evelyn. All of her polka dots were to die for. She is such a doll.

How playful. I just love this one.

I'm pretty sure she was checking to see if Grandma was going to yell at her for picking her tulips. lol

I was packing up to leave when I seen Evelyn on her little trike. I couldn't resist getting a few more shots.

Karlee - Lonsdale Child

I just finished up Karlee's session and all I can so is "Good Luck" to her parents. They are going to have such a hard time choosing. Every single picture was as adorable as the one before it.

This one makes me laugh. She was so much fun to photograph!

We tried this at 6 mths but she wasn't liking it very much. I am sure glad we decided to try it again.

Kaitlyn - Lonsdale Newborn

This little beauty was in to see me yesterday. She has got to be one of the most beautiful babies I have ever seen. I could not wait to play with a few of her images.

I could not wait to try out my new headband. I just love it!

I finally got to try out my new stork pouch. I have been waiting to have a baby fresh out of the hospital

that would fit in it and sleepy enough to stay a sleep in it.

Adeline & Lucy are two of the most beautiful little girls I have ever seen.

They are cousins and the little one with the pigtails was from out of state.

She really didn't want to be very far from Grandma so this first picture had to have a little photoshop magic done to get her closer to the bunny and to get grandma out of the picture.

Still not wanting to get off Grandma's lap so Grandma was leaning back as far as possible so I could crop her out. lol

We are getting a little braver now.

I am busy proofing Little Bella's pictures today. What a little cutie. I can't believe she went from infant to toddler so quickly. I get Mom's apologizing all the time because their little one won't sit still. Quite honestly, I love those sessions. Not only is it a challenge for me but I think I can capture more of their personality.
Miss Bella was no exception. She kept me hopping and boy oh boy was she quick. But we managed to get some adorable portraits of this little doll.

I am busy with bunny sessions and getting caught up on editing sessions that were put on hold while I was doing my taxes.

I took a lot of pictures of this little cutie. I have a lot more to edit but I thought I would share a little sneak peek from her session so far. I am so happy with the new updates for my blog. Posting pictures is so much easier, faster and I have the option to post larger sizes. LOVE IT!

I am so glad to be done with my taxes and back to the fun part of my job!

I just finished editing this adorable little girls pictures. After photographing her older sister this last summer I was so excited to meet Mara. I just knew she was going to be a little doll and I was right.

OK I guess it's time to get back to my taxes. I can't put it off any longer. I seriously hate this time of year!
All I want to do is work on all of the cute pictures I have taken.
I think I need help in this area. I don't think it should be this much work.

Oh my all of this new technology is making my head ache! lol

I went to a class today on social networking. It took me an entire day just to set up my facebook business page with a Welcome page. It does feel good when it finally clicks though.

Lonsdale Twins

I was over the top excited when Greyson and Aubrey's mom called to schedule an appointment to model for me. I asked my daughter to come up with an idea for two little twins (a boy and a girl). She blew me away with these adorable hats.

One of my goals when photographing models is to showcase new ideas, props and outfits.

This little outfit has been stashed away forever. I love how victorian it looks. It went perfectly with my little bed prop and one of the new headbands I designed. Greyson's mommy brought along this adorable hat and jacket that use to be her dad's.

Oh my, I wish I could find something like that.

Tomorrow we will celebrate this amazing ladies birthday. My Grandma, the most amazing woman I know. I adore her. She is everything I want to be. I am so lucky to be able to have her in my life yet. Can you believe she was born in 1919 and still so full of life! Her eye site is going but other then that you would never know she was that old. I love you Grandma K.

It was frigid cold the day Troy came in for his senior pictures so we didn't last very long outside but the pictures we got were so cool. I love the snow on the pine tree behind him.

Baby JJ

Like the song on my website "Miracle Baby", this little guy really is a miracle. Little JJ came in for pictures January 12th. Believe it or not this little 5lb 15oz cutie is already a month old. But his actual due date wasn't until the end of January. I could not wait to take his pictures. They had a session scheduled a week earlier but unfortunately I came down with a cold and didn't want to take the chance of giving it to JJ.

He was amazing for his first photo shoot. We spent over 2 hours taking well over 200 images and he didn't cry once. He put up with me squishing him in buckets and constantly fiddling with him to get just the right shot. I was having so much fun I didn't want to quit! I love photographing newborns!!!

Do Professional Photographers really make money?

I recently read this on another photographers site and had to share it. I know there are people out there that can't understand why photographers charge so much. After reading this I don't think we charge enough!

I’ll never forget within the first week of quitting my newspaper job (in February 2006) I was at the gym and someone asked me what I do for a living.
“I’m a wedding & portrait photographer” happily rolled off my tongue.
They perked right up and said “oh that’s a GREAT job! I bet you make a lot of money, since most weddings are like TWO-grand! And you have the weekdays off!”
Even at that point, I knew I wouldn’t be technically pocketing that much per wedding and I knew I would be editing and marketing Monday-Friday.
But I had NO idea how the actual breakdown of a professional photographer’s fees would be.
I get a lot of inquiries asking about business tips or photography tips. I even have a workshop that allows these eager minds to pick my brain for a day.
But I wanted to set the record straight right here on my personal blog about being an artist: it isn’t glamorous (unless you become very, VERY famous).
I stick to my career because it is my passion and I can’t NOT do it. It’s how I think and everything around me inspires me to continue doing it.
With that being said, here’s a breakdown you may have never thought about.

Taxes - Remember when you were a teenager and you got your first paycheck? I do. I was getting paid around $5.10/hour and after doing the math was expecting a paycheck for a certain amount. As I opened it, I thought “what…on…earth?!” It seemed short. Very short. Looking at the bottom of the stub, it showed the breakdown of why my check was about 30 percent shorter than I anticipated. Good ol’ Uncle Sam.

When a bride & groom cut a check for their photographer, about 30 percent of that check AUTOMATICALLY isn’t the photographer’s for the keeping. It’s Uncle Sam’s.
My husband (the numbers guy) is diligent about transferring over this set percentage to a “tax savings” account. So at year-end, I have that tax money ready to hand over.
Overhead – Being a professional photographer is DARN expensive. Beyond the normal phone, fax, computer, office supplies, website, etc. overhead, there’s marketing, cost of prints & albums, massive backup drives, insurance, seminars to stay on top of the latest trends, Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop software (and yearly upgrades) – I could go ON & on about this category. It’s kind of the invisible category that people tend to overlook but it allocates a whopping 30 percent of every dollar that comes my way.

Even with a home-office & studio, my overhead is upwards of several hundred dollars a month. And this doesn’t include attending any awesome workshops or upgrading my computer. These are what I consider “luxury overhead” items and I only get to do them if I I have covered the essentials, have given myself a cushion for the next month, and make over a certain amount each month.

Equipment Savings – This is another overhead, but it’s so critical, it has it’s own category. It takes a LONG time to save for a new camera body when you stash 10 percent at a time away. Let’s put it this way: a Canon 5D Mark II (with insurance & a warranty) is approximately $3,000. That is 10 percent of $30,000. If each wedding is $2,000, that’s 15 weddings. Or, if each portrait client spends $300, that’s 100 portrait sessions.
I realize this is a tool, but I also don’t advocate credit card debt.
I personally cannot actually handle that kind of volume (alone) without outsourcing or sacrificing quality of product. (So, obviously, I need to make up for that in sales… that’s another blog post all together).

So when you hear a photographer getting a couple new big-ticket-items: camera body and nice L lens, you know they have either
a) saved for a year to do so
b) invested much more than 10 percent (borrowed funds from another “category”).
I guess there is another option there:
c) they have a sugar momma or fund their business with personal funds. (And last I checked, I think they call that a “hobby”…)
Retirement - Ya, I want to retire someday and I thank my lucky-stars that my husband is so patient with me finally realizing I need to always, always put 10 percent of each check that comes in the door into the 401K. Seriously, I can’t be hauling around 20+ pounds of gear in my senior-citizen days.

College Fund – Maybe you don’t have a kid [yet], so you can call this your vacation fund. Either way, you will want to have a little nest-egg and 10 percent is a nice round number to work with.
Owner’s Draw – Owner’s Draw means money in your pocket. It’s like you are taking cash out of the business cash drawer. This is the category people often assume is the big one. Nope. Maybe it is for your business model, but it isn’t for mine. Of course if I have a really good month, I’ll do the Happy Dance and want to spend a little extra on something my husband and I have been saving for, but in general, 10 percent is what I actually get to “pocket.”
Owner’s Draw isn’t always for fun things, however: this is also to pay our personal bills (*sigh* adult responsibilities).

So in case you haven’t been adding all this up in your head, here is the breakdown:
Taxes 30%
Overhead 30%
Equipment Savings 10%
Retirement 10%
College Fund 10%
Owner’s Draw 10%
Equals 100 %
For ease-sake, let’s drive this point home with a cut & dry example:
$2,000 for a wedding:
Taxes 30% $600.00
Overhead 30% $600.00
Equipment Savings 10% $200.00
Retirement 10% $200.00
College Fund (or Vacation Fund) 10% $200.00
Owner’s Draw 10% $200.00
Even when you lump Retirement, College Fund (or Vacation Fund) and Owner’s Draw into ONE category, that is $600 for a $2,000 wedding.

If you are doing the math and thinking, Heather: stop complaining!
$600 / 8 hours of shooting = $75 per hour…. erase that concept from your mind!
There’s countless behind-the-scene hours that go into a wedding. I don’t just say that to make it sound like “so much work” goes into what I do, so I can charge more. It’s completely and totally legit. I tend to invest 60 hours of time in one wedding (start to finish: i.e. consultation, engagement portraits, travel, preparation, wedding, editing, album design, etc.). Most of that time is editing each image, but that’s my style and business model.

So, if you confirm that math $600 / 60 hours = $10 per hour.
And for every $30 dollars of that, I’m not even touching $20 (into 401K and college fund it goes…)
One more example. It’s pretty common for NEW photographers to charge for a session and images on CD. Let’s be generous and say they are charging $200:
Taxes 30% $ 60.00
Overhead 30% $ 60.00
Equipment Savings 10% $ 20.00
Retirement 10% $ 20.00
College Fund 10% $ 20.00
Owner’s Draw 10% $ 20.00
Hmmm, “pocketing” $20 for one session is kind of depressing. They probably spend 6-8 hours (maybe longer) on shooting and editing this session.
For example-sake: if they spent 6 hours on it, they are making $3.33 / hour. YIKES!

Yes, I am still alive! Sorry I have neglected my blog lately. Between senior and baby sessions and getting my daughter off to college is has been a little crazy around here.
Hopefully I will get back on track pretty soon. But for right now I am busy getting ready for Jesse James Days this week-end.

I will be set up at the Ice Arena in Northfield Friday from 9-8 and Saturday from 9-5.
Come on out and have your pictures taken. I have adorable sets, clothing and props along with some great show specials.

We are located on the back wall of the Ice Arena. Don't be mistaken, we are the one with the large double booth, with tons of props and samples!

It gets a little crazy on Saturday so my suggestion is to come on Friday or Saturday right after lunch when most of the other children are taking naps. We do sessions every 10-15 minutes so it does go pretty quickly.

The Littles

I had the pleasure of taking my Aunt Shirley's family portraits a few weeks ago. We had quite the time dealing with the heat, sun and an occasional light shower. Yep, it was a weird day. I was hoping for the clouds without the rain since we didn't have much for shade in her yard. I guess I should have been more specific with my request. ha ha At least it gave us all a chance to run inside and cool off for a bit.

As I sat here working on these pictures the memories came flooding back of my childhood, spending the night at their farm with all those brothers and sisters. I remember thinking wow, they must have a lot of fun together. I do remember Brian being the brother that liked to pull all the pranks though. And I see he hasn't changed a bit! As we were taking pictures he was the one poking his sister trying to get her to laugh. lol Some things never change!

Happy Birthday Aunt Shirley. You look fabulous!

Wheat fields and Black Eyed Susan's are ready!

I have had a lot of customers calling lately asking when the wheat fields and Black Eyed Susan flowers are in full bloom for senior portraits. The wheat field is prime right now and I am hoping I have talked my brother-in-law into waiting until after the 25th to harvest it. If you want wheat field pictures you need to make an appointment now. I have very few openings available so if you are interested I would call and schedule your appointment today! The Black Eyed Susan's are just opening up. They should be perfect by next week. They typically stay in bloom for 2-3 weeks. I also have the wild flowers in full bloom right now with lots of yellow and black flowers similar to the black eyed susan's and a few white daisy's mixed in. I'm really loving this set. I bought everything years ago when the grandchildren were

just babies wanting to do something like this. I finally figured I should pull it out for a few test shots. What do you think? If you would like to see a special done with this set let me know.

I have been wanting to get this shot forever. Unfortunately the wild flowers are usually in bright sun so it makes it a bit challenging. I waited till the sun set for this shot which made beautiful lighting but horrible mosquitos! This was probably the only shot that turned out. (Ok, I lied...I had to swap a couple heads to even make it look this good.) It's not easy trying to get four kids to all look at the camera at the same time. lol

Getting a 2 year old to sit still for two seconds can sometimes be a challenge.

Phillip on the other hand listened very well. We were tossing something back and fourth and he would just sit there so patiently waiting for me to throw it back.

At this point he was probably thinking is this lady ever going to throw it back to me. ha

I have been having so much fun with the baby chicks which I might add are growing way too fast! Too bad they don't stay small longer.

This is one of my all time favorites!

So...when I worked at Flash portraits I would get into trouble because I would show too many pictures to the customers. But seriously I can't help it. I could not edit one picture out of this little girl. I planned on putting just a few images up for her sneak peek but by 2:30 in the morning I was still playing with them. She is the dream session every photographer dreams of. Sweet, Adorable and Perfect in every way.

Of course we had to have a few with the new baby chicks!

Aaahhhh...little boys, ya gotta love em! Don't you just love the mohawk! Well let me tell you a story behind this mohawk. Little Chase decided to give himself a haircut just days before his photo session, so this mohawk was his mom's attempt of hiding his bald spot. OMG...that was one of the funniest stories I have ever heard. It will be a great story to tell him when he is older.

Chase was another one that I wasn't sure if he would warm up to me or not. I love that little look he gave me at first, like yeah lady...you're not funny! LOL

Well it didn't take long for him to warm up to me. Especially once I brought out the football and basketball.

What amazing blue eyes! He is so cute I just want to eat him up.

(hmmm, just realized that's kind of a weird thing to say! lol)

Pat, owner of Malecha Superior Landscaping came out today and planted 5 large trees and shrubs around my new studio. He did such a fantastic job. It is going to look amazing when all of the landscaping is done. My favorite is the large magnolia bush right outside the french doors to the studio. I am so excited to get into my new space I can hardly stand it. I have so many ideas for inside and outside the studio I can hardly sleep at night just thinking of everything I want to do. If only I had the money and time to do it all at once. Aaahhhh...patience is a virtue I guess! (Unless of course there is someone out there that wants some free pictures and can make my dreams come true a little quicker! lol)

Maybe I shouldn’t admit this but secretly I kind of love it when Mom’s call and say they want to try and get pictures of their child and then go on to warn me that they haven’t ever been able to get any good pictures of their child at previous studios.

Maybe it’s the challenge I love but then there's that fear that
maybe just maybe I will find a little kid that doesn’t find me funny. . . Impossible!

All I know is the feeling I get when that Mom leaves my studio with a smile on her face and the excitement of knowing we finally were able to capture her childs true personality!

When little Gracie first walked into the studio I thought
hmmmm...this one could be a challenge. Her parents told
me they were never able to get a professional picture of her
smiling.

I’m pretty sure her parents were lying because
that is pretty much all we got!

These were the first two pictures I took. She was a little skeptical of me at first and I didn't

dare take any of the stuffed animals away.

The most beautiful lighting for senior portraits is between

4:00 and 7:00 p.m. These times book up extremely fast so don't delay in booking your senior session.

Please note: I am not excepting any appointments May 24 through June 15th and have weddings booked for
June 19 and June 26th.

Because of this I expect my available dates for June to be booked up early. I can't stress enough how important it is to book early if you want to take advantage of any of my specials.

It is also not to early to be booking appointments for October.

(I know...Summer isn't even here yet and I am already talking about Fall! sorry)

I am not taking any appointments May 24 - June 15th and I have Weddings booked the last two Saturdays of June. As you can see that will leave very few dates available. If you want a prime time I would suggest scheduling your appointments as soon as possible!

Fresh Faces Model Search

Have you always thought your child was cute enough to model. Well here is your chance to find out. There are still a few openings available. Sessions must be completed by March 31st to be entered into the contest.

We will also be offering prizes for the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners in each age group category.

Senior Reps

I am still looking for one more senior rep from New Prague and Montgomery and two more from Northfield & Faribault Schools. I will also consider reps from other schools depending on location. Please call the studio right away if you are interested.

Senior Spokesmodels Needed

I am still looking for a few more high school juniors to be my spokesmodels for the 2011 graduating class. If you are interested you will need to sign up right away. I only take a couple from each school. As a senior spokesmodel you will receive a free on-location session in April and another session in summer or fall if you choose. You will also receive a free 12 image accordian book to share with all your classmates along with a few image files to tag on your facebook page. For each booked and completed referral you will receive a $20.00 credit to be used towards the purchase of your senior portraits. Refer 10 friends and you will also receive $50.00 cash after their sessions have been completed!

Spokesmodel Requirments

Availability - Must be available in April for your first session.

Outgoing personality - You will be required to pass out business cards and show off your pictures from your spring session.

Willing to try new ideas. Must be available for up to 2 hours to travel around to various locations trying out new ideas.

As a spokesmodel you must also agree to only represent Cherished Moments Photography.

So I have been a little behind on my blog posts so this is why you are seeing so many new posts in one day!
The beautiful talented Caitlin came out for some headshots to use for her Viking Cheerleading tryouts.
Well let me tell you the girl does not take a bad picture. She is a knockout. It would be so fun if she makes it. They would be lucky to have her, not only is she gorgeous but she is a great dancer as well. I will keep my fingers crossed for you Caitlin.

Ok, I love all of her pictures but I think this is one of my favorites.
